Always fun to try out a new food delivery service, and even more so when one of the founders is a good friend and delivers the food in person, not that I would let that cloud my judgement. Looking forward to testing the three dishes included in the bag I ordered.
1. Chili sin carne served with rice and salad
2. Sesam breaded tofu served with cauliflower puré and yellow carrot sticks
3. Tsay skewers served with curry sauce and rice
Still looking for a delivery service that caters to us singles, ie that does not assume that you expect three friends to come over for dinner every evening, or that you enjoy eating the same food for several days. Rumors say this option just may become available, or atleast an option of cutting down the recepies to 2 servings.
Now that’s fresh mountain-grown birch oil from the hills of Dalarna.
Finally, this is a product I’ve been looking for…
…well no, but I love it.
We pick the leaves from the birch tree and extract the etherial oils that provide a very aromatic flavor of birch. Birch oil is then mixed with a cold-pressed organic canola oil and bottled.
It tastes spectacular mixed in butter, sprinkled on sallad or pasta, but make sure to apply it just before serving as the etherial birch oil is rather volatile and will disappear quickly if heated.
Some people have even been known to apply it as body lotion after the sauna, or so I’ve heard…
I mean it’s lunch time, and you have to eat, right, so why not …
• Toast Skagen, with bleak roe from Kalix
• Homemade salsicca and accessories
• Pancakes with whipped cream and ice cream
… and why not have them match these with suitable whines.
I mean, why not?
• Coffee Grinds
Just add music and you can hit the day running :-)
• Cacao Powder
• Oat milk (ICA Solhavre)
• Soy Cream (Alpro)
Chocolate from cacao powder, sugar and oat milk was easy peasy.
However, whipping the soy cream ain’t no walk in the park.
On the other hand, when you have it all down and served up, you know you deserved this treat.
Mayby not a proper winter sallad, but the crème fraîche dressing gives it a frosted look.
Had to make room for the new root crop so all remaining green stuff from last week went into this dish (mache, ruccola, spicy cress, avocado) topped with all the lemon I could muster.
Looking forward to the sweet potatoes, love that stuff. Rather skeptic about those hot dog buns though, they look a bit on the dry side.
Served with chickpeas, fresh ajvar and a sprinkle of parsley.
Served with a mixed green sallad laced with spicy cress and topped off with a clear lemon dressing
