GOING DEEP | “The Pit”, Tulum, Yucatan, Mexico

At 30m depth there is a halocline with a fantastic white sulfuric cloud suspended as in “mid air”. The water in these cenotes is so clear that “mid air” is exactly what it feels like. At 45m depth we pause by a collection of bones, possibly remains from a Mayan sacrificial ritual. I have to go back here.
